Helen has a baby girl!!

BethTheir eyes met across a crowded lecture room. She was attracted to his boyish grin & smiling eyes. He was entranced by her sweet Scottish voice & delicate laughter. Neither knew that life would never be the same again! Will & I both started studying at Belfast Bible College in Sept ’99. I have to confess that I used to look out for Will’s car from my bedroom window (I used to live on campus) & then try to think of an excuse to go in search for him –I need a book from the library or Need some fresh air (which was ironic ‘cos the college is beside sewage works!) We struck up a friendship & by June 2000 we started going out. We got married in July ’02 by the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Now, being married isn’t easy! It takes hard work, patience, give & take, a sense of humour, love and God’s Spirit at work in us, but it’s worth it! Our new addition to the Warren clan is baby Beth Anna Warren weighing 8lbs 15oz. She is beautiful with a head full of dark hair and so so cute!!

Who Me?!?!?!

She sais what? You “Where made only a little lower than God” **Psalm8v5** “The Lord decided today that you are his people, his own special treasure.” **Deutoronomy26v18** We as females often struggle with our acceptance & worth. We think that just because we don’t have certain attributes we are insignificant. However our father sends us a very different message. ...We are so highly accepted by the Creator of the Universe. “We are God’s masterpiece.” **Ephesians 2v10**...This worth was paid for on the cross through God’s grace. However to be able to grow in this internal beauty & worth we must devote our lives to God. “Turn my eyes from worthless things and give me life through your word.” **Psalm119v37** Through reading the bible we can gain so much from God and grow a lot. “My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others of his Good News and love.” **Acts20v24** Become a servant. I am blown away by the fact that the Lord of the universe loves us this much & gives us so much worth & honour even though sometimes we are not grateful & do not follow his commands. Finally I want to leave you with one of my favourite lines from a hymn. I think from this one powerful line we could build our whole lives.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God… and all these things shall be added onto you.”

Twelve Extraordinary Women by John MacArthur

This is a really cool book about some of the most amazing women in the bible such as Mary, Ruth, Anna, Sarah and Hannah. This book is full of spiritual lessons stemming from the traumas, trials and successes these women faced. The inspiring thing about this book is that the majority of these women were simple and ordinary women like us, yet they were made extraordinary through their life-changing encounter with God.
