Want to Join a Lifegroup?
What are Life Groups?
Life groups are a small group of people who are committed to each other and to God’s word. Spiritual growth happens best when we are connected into the body of Christ, and life groups give us the opportunity to do that! The small group community within life groups encourages relationships to go deeper, and with that creates an opportunity to care for and encourage one another at a more personal level.
What is the goal of Life Groups?
The relational goal of life groups is for individuals to grow closer to others in the body of Christ. The spiritual goal for life groups is for each life to be transformed more and more into the likeness of Christ. That is why the focus of life group meetings is the study of God’s word and prayer. Each term life groups will complete either a study of a book of the Bible, or a topical Bible study relevant to the theme of that term.
What commitment is involved?
Life groups meet every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, 8pm-10pm. Your group will begin meeting from September 2018 and will continue through June 2020. If you are considering joining a life group, it is essential that you are able to commit to being available for these meetings. Your absence affects not only you, but also the rest of the group missing out on your contribution! Life groups function most effectively when members come with the mindset that they are there to be a blessing to others, and that their presence is important to the healthy functioning of the group. If you have any concerns about your ability to participate in life groups, please let us know in the comment box at the bottom of this page.
