Senior Pastor – Trevor Ramsey
Trevor was married to Sheela for 27 years and they have four children, three who are adults and 11 year old Nathan who loves music and doesnt love Maths!
In April of 2006 Sheela was diagnosed with terminal cancer and after 18 months of intense treatment and even more intense prayer, the Lord saw fit to take her to Himself. She passed into glory on 26th November 2007. The whole experience was very demanding in many ways but has given a unique insight into the place of suffering in the service of Christ.
Converted to Christ at 17 (in the back seat of a mini car!), Trevor studied at Belfast Bible College and the family served as missionaries with Baptist Missions in Cork initially and then Limerick in the Republic of Ireland for 8 years. He serves on the Publications Board of ABC Insight for whom he writes articles. He can also sometimes be heard on the BBC’s Thought for the Day.
Trevor is passionate about the power of preaching and the local church. “When you’re involved in church life, you’re changing lives and then you’re changing the world. There can be no greater way to spend the short time we have on this earth.”
Trevor is married to Maggie and is also a keen Manchester United supporter.
