As a church we regard our financial giving to be a part of our worship, an opportunity to give back to God for, and from, all that he has given to us.
Many of our members and friends already give to the church by standing order and many of those also ‘Gift Aid’ their giving.
Gift Aid is a scheme where the government will give basic rate tax relief back to the designated charity of the tax payer at no extra cost to the person making the donation.
For example – basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10 to Newtownbreda Baptist using Gift Aid, it’s actually worth £12.50. If you are a higher rate tax payer you can also benefit from additional relief at the higher rate.
