Newtownbreda Baptist Church is a diverse group of ordinary people who face the daily challenges of life just the same as everybody else, but with one exception, we have, 24/7, the assistance and guidance of an extraordinary and supernatural God.

Perhaps you are, or have been, in a relationship with God or maybe you don’t know anything about him.  ‘Loving God, Sharing Jesus and Caring for People’ that’s what we believe God has intended for our Church.

Life is full of choices; every day we face a range of challenges and very often we need to make difficult decisions.  As a church we offer various activities and ministries aimed at helping people who are struggling practically, physically or spiritually.  No-one knows what’s around the next corner and whilst we can look ahead and plan, only one thing is certain, at some stage each of our lives will be over. 

We look upon every activity within the church as an opportunity, an opportunity not just to demonstrate God’s love but to help people understand how important it is to enter a real and personal relationship with Him.  God sent His son, Jesus, to die for each and every one of us. The Bible says ”For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him (John 3:17).

John 10:10 says ‘the enemy (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’.  God gives us the freewill to accept Him or reject Him.  If we reject Him the Bible says the consequence is ‘death’ but if we accept Him God promises us ‘the gift of eternal life’ (Romans 6:23) and that ‘he will never leave us or forsake us’(Hebrews 13:5).

We cannot guarantee that you will not continue to face difficult situations, but what we can guarantee is that you will never again have to go through them alone – we can promise you that your life will never be the same again.

One of the most amazing things about God’s love is that it is extended to us when we do not deserve it and continues steadfast and strong even when we do not respond to it.  In other words, His love is unconditional.

We have numerous ministries, practical and spirtual, aimed at helping people in a variety of ways.  We would love to help you and you can find out how we can by visiting our ‘Ministries’ section.

We also offer a range of activities, for the very youngest (creche and Parents & Tots), for children, young people, adults and older people.

If you live in the Ormeau Road area we have our Community Project at Haypark.

Weekly prayer meetings take place before our Sunday services at 10.30am and 6.30pm and on a Wednesday evening at 8.00pm.  A prayer team is also available to pray with anybody, privately, after the Sunday evening service.

We also run a confidential Prayer Chain Ministry, where people can pass on prayer requests, at any time, by calling 028 9079 0048.

Baptist Missions: Working Together – Changing Lives

Newtownbreda Baptist Church proactively supports Baptist missionaries prayerfully and practically.

The aims of Baptist Missions are:-

The evangelisation of others in obedience to the Lord’s commission and the establishing, fostering and maintenance of churches in Ireland and overseas.

Haypark Christian Centre has a long history.

Originally founded as a Baptist church in 1926 by Windsor Baptist Church, it subsequently went on to found the Carryduff and Newtownbreda Baptist churches. It merged with Newtownbreda Baptist Church in 2006.

It was relaunched as a community project at the start of 2009, and is run in association with Newtownbreda Baptist Church and Baptist Missions with the goal of helping people explore, experience and enjoy the peace and new life found in Jesus Christ.

Haypark is run by the husband and wife team of Eugene and Nicola Galbraith.
